Christmas is coming!
Since many years, Walter Harscher (CEO Extra Divers Worldwide) is dedicated in one project: diving on Christmas Island!
Now we may finally announce, that a new Extra Divers dive center will open
at one of the most unique big fish spots in the world! The Christmas Island is situated in the Indian Ocean, 350 km south of Java. The island provides 135 m² in a unique geographic location. The biggest part of the island is a nature reserve and accordingly, also the occurence of fish is comparable with Malpelo, Cocos and Galapagos!
Another natural wonder is the crab migration flow , when about 43 million crabs are flocking to the sea.
The red-colored Christmas Island crabs are found only here and on Cocos Island.
Maybe one of the last secrets of our oceans, with an outstanding population of fish.
All over the year, there are encounters of hammerheads, also schools of hammerheads, Silksharks and Tiger sharks. Over 200 species of corals of all colors can be admired. The water temperature is between 26 to 29 degrees during the whole year.
Unfortunately, there is only space for 32 divers per week. The adventure Christmas may currently exclusively be booked at Reisecenter Federsee!
Of course, also at Christmas, there are only 32 exclusive places on Christmas Island.
