Indonesia / Extra Divers Nunukan

Extra Divers dive centre is situated directly at the islands jetty and provides a reception, a dry- & equipment room, rental equipment and washing basins. Dive center and boats are equipped with all necessary gadgets (oxygen, first aid kit, radio), the next doctor is in Berau, and the closest decompression chamber is located in Balikpapan. All dive master and instructors are trained in first aid.
Just a few steps afar from the dive center, the house reef - stretching along for about 4 km- welcomes all divers the whole day long for spectacular diving experiences.

Our house reef is stretching along the island for about 4km –unaffected and waiting to be discovered!
Even from the jetty, you may admire the amazing Nunukan underwater world: a steep face, offering fantastic new impressions on almost every meter you are descending.
Starting from a great variety of macros to lots of swarms up to the encountering of big fish: everything is possible in here!
You will get high on the variety of colors, soft- and hard corals are completely covering the reef walls.
Our ‘Tuk Tuk’-service will provide you to your favorite drop off point and also come you for at a certain point when you have finished your dive: there is almost no way to offer more extravagance!
Of course, also the speedboat trips to the legendary reefs in front of Nabucco (Big Fish Country), Sangalaki (Manta Point) or Kakaban (Jellyfish Lake) are part of our diving proposal.

Due to the remote location of the resort, guests must have valid travel health and diving insurance (DAN, aqua med or similar) and prove this on site.

Equipe & Education

The Resort as well as the dive Center are managed by Beat Waefler and Silvia Parpan. The international team provides courses from Open Water Diver to DiveCon Level according to SSI-Standards in German, English, French and Indonesian.
